Consequences of the Resolution
The Ombudsman’s resolutions are not binding. This means that they may not be subjected to enforcement as is the case with a court verdict, even if both Parties have agreed to the proposed resolution.
However, despite its non-binding nature, each such resolution has an impact on the operator’s image.
A decision released by the Ombudsman does not deprive you of the right to pursue your rights in the disputes with the operator before a court.
Remember that in a potential court suit you should include the information as to whether the Parties to the dispute have undertaken an attempt at mediation or any other out-of-court manner for resolving a dispute; in the event that such attempts have not been made, explain the reasons why they have not been undertaken.
